Subject: Update 7/29/08

Hi everyone~  Just another short update on Dad:  They transferred him to New Hope Rehabilitation Center at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Billings last Thursday.  He has a busy daily schedule that includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, recreational therapy, and speech therapy each day, with short periods of rest in between.  He has good days and not-as-good days, but continues to make progress.  He can have visitors after 3pm each day, however there may be days when visitors aren’t allowed, depending on his agitation level, etc, and what the medical staff feels is appropriate.

Some of you have asked how the rest of us are doing, and I can say that we are hanging in there.  While we know that Dad is making progress, and believe 100% in his full recovery, it is still very difficult at times.  It just doesn’t seem fair that he should have to endure this, but we believe in him wholeheartedly and also believe that it is all part of God’s plan.  Each day has its challenges, but each day is also one day closer to Dad being home.  :)

Thanks for your prayers and emails, etc.

God Bless,

Jenny

After a hot day at the fair, we went indoors for some cool water fun.
We stayed at the Sleep Inn and it had this fun water park in it.
Big hit with the kids…I think we spent more time here than at the fair. :)

Cool wall murals surround the entire park.

The Hot Tub

Even peanut got to go down.

Time for some snacks, movies and then some ZZZs.

Still using our pool quite a bit. It’s been one of the best investments for us. :)
I had to look twice here…but Nope, Ryan isn’t taller than TR.
He was bending his legs in this one.

Hi everyone~  Just a short note to let you know that it looks like Dad will be moving to New Hope (the rehab facility at St. Vincent’s) on Thursday.  They did a 2nd evaluation today and have scheduled him for the transfer.  We have very high hopes that he will continue to make progress and that the next step after New Hope will be home!  Please keep him in your prayers.  They’ve gotten us this far!

Thanks and God Bless,

Jenny

After all this talk about being thrifty shoppers…i decided to makeover my old glider rocker. It used to be the old pine wood color with taupe cushions…The cushions are recovered using some old curtains and suede I had leftover for the LR.
what do you think?

We took the kids to the PBR this Saturday. It was a fun event.
The kids got to meet Guilherme Marchi, Luke Snyder and Ednei Caminhas
and get their hats and posters signed.
Jhacie got to meet Emily Paige Carson the new Miss Rodeo Mandan Princess.
We saw her crowned at the Mandan Rodeo on the 4th.
Mr. Cowboy himself. He wanted to ride a bull so bad. He even asked Guilherme if he could.
Alex got his new hat signed too.

A few of the riders.

Here we are…
me too…
